Systems downtime planned for Oct. 25

On Oct. 25, VUMC will experience numerous changes to some of its clinical systems. As part of this work, some systems, including eStar and imaging systems, will be unavailable or have limited functionality throughout the early morning hours. Downtime procedures will be used in all areas during the time period, expected to take place from 1:10 AM to 6:10 AM.

System changes and implementations include the following replacements:

• ImageCast, with Radiant, a new Epic-based module
• XeroViewer and VueMotion (VWCH) with SECTRA UniView
• IMPAX with SECTRA IDS7

During the transition period:

• ·       SECTRA will come online in stages and will not have full functionality until the end of the transition
• ·       IMPAX will be available to access images captured before the transition; it will move to a read-only state at the end of downtime
• ·       Images captured during transition may be available in SECTRA and/or IMPAX; specific downtime workflows will be provided to reading clinicians
• ·       ImageCast will be unavailable
• PowerScribe will be unavailable—users should leverage iBox within IMPAX

Specific information will be provided to area and site leaders to follow during downtime procedures.
