FLUla-2-Uza Honor Roll recognizes VUMC departments

This year, we’re introducing the Department Honor Roll webpage! To achieve Honor Roll status, a home department must reach 100% compliance with the annual influenza requirement (documented vaccination or approved exemption). To date, nearly 1,000 VUMC departments have reached this milestone. Congratulations to all those departments, which are recognized on the Department Honor Roll webpage.
Don’t see your department listed? Encourage your peers to get their flu vaccine (or exemption, if applicable) to make progress toward joining the Honor Roll. You can also challenge other departments to see who can join the list first. All employees, including those working remotely, need to be vaccinated or have an approved exemption by the Dec. 1 compliance deadline, so everyone can do their part to help land their department on the Honor Roll!
Employees have access to many safe and convenient options for obtaining their flu vaccine, including Occupational Health Clinic (OHC) locations on main campus and One Hundred Oaks, OHC on-site events, and Peer Vaccinators in inpatient units and outpatient clinics. Check out the searchable "OHC Comes to You" calendar for a list of all OHC on-site event locations.
For those working remotely and unable to get their vaccine from OHC or a Peer Vaccinator, vaccination can be obtained at any location that is convenient, including Vanderbilt Health Walk-in Clinics or Vanderbilt Health Clinics at Walgreens. While insurance will be charged for a flu shot obtained at an off-site location, those on the VUMC health plan will have no out-of-pocket cost if you visit a Tier 1 or Tier 2 provider, including Vanderbilt Walk-In Clinics and Walgreens locations. Note that if you visit a Vanderbilt Health Clinic at Walgreens, go to the clinic area and not the pharmacy to ensure you have no out-of-pocket cost when using VUMC health plan insurance. Additionally, you will need to provide documentation of your flu vaccine to OHC if you receive it from a location other than OHC or a Peer Vaccinator, and you can submit your documentation securely online.
While we may not be able to gather in one place this year, we can each do our part to protect our Vanderbilt community!
Join the challenge and take part in FLUla-2-Uza! Share a picture sporting your FLUla-2-Uza sticker after vaccination and tag @WellVanderbilt with #FLUla2Uza so the Vanderbilt community can see you’re doing to be a positive influence!
