Bryant named senior vice president for Health Professional Solutions

Bryant succeeds Fletcher Lance, MBA, who has led HPS since 2017. Lance is departing VUMC to become the Chief Executive Officer of the Hardenbergh Group, a health care holding company composed of two companies, the Hardenbergh Group and MDReview.
As Senior Vice President, Bryant will report to C. Wright Pinson, MBA, MD, Deputy Chief Executive Officer and Chief Health System Officer for VUMC. In addition, she will work closely with other senior leaders across VUMC to insure the integration of development ideas and alignment of goals between the rest of the Medical Center and HPS.
Bryant, who joined VUMC in 2018, has been focused on the development and growth of new commercial ventures for the Medical Center, having been involved in strategic projects including telehealth, pharmacogenomics, mobile technologies for clinicians and specialty pharmacy services.
In this new role Bryant will have broad scope responsibilities over HPS including strategic planning, prioritizing the sequence of new businesses and determining details around the launch of each, serving as an intermediary between leadership of VUMC as well as the Vanderbilt Health Affiliated Network, supporting cross-business sales and relationships, and maintaining cost effective infrastructure to support the initiatives of HPS.
“Olivia has worked closely with Fletcher over the past several years and comes to this new role with experience and a strong understanding of the ambitious objectives we have established for the services offered by HPS. I look forward to her contributions,” said, C. Wright Pinson, MBA, MD, Deputy Chief Executive Officer and Chief Health System Officer for VUMC. “I want to express my appreciation to Fletcher for his remarkable accomplishments as well as his years of service to VUMC and wish him well in his next venture.”
Prior to joining VUMC, Bryant spent more than 15 years focused on strategic initiatives and designing new programs as a health care management consultant with North Highland Consulting, McKesson and Beaumont Hospitals. During her time with North Highland she worked with a variety of health system clients, which included working with the Vanderbilt Specialty Pharmacy program and developing the Vanderbilt Transplant Pharmacy program
Bryant received a Bachelor of Science from Vanderbilt University and a Master of Business Administration from Vanderbilt’s Owen Graduate School of Management. She is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE), the Nashville Healthcare Council/Leadership Healthcare (NHCC &LHC), and participates in HLTH Health Innovations.
