Daniela Lamas to deliver Leonard Visiting Scholar Lecture, Feb. 14

The Department of Medicine presents Daniela Lamas, MD, as the 2019 John M. Leonard Visiting Scholar. Her lecture, “Opening the Door: Learning from Patient Stories of Life, Death and In Between,” will be Thursday, Feb. 14 at 8 a.m. in 208 Light Hall.

Lamas is a pulmonary and critical care attending at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital and instructor in Medicine at Harvard Medical School. She earned a medical degree at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons, where she also completed internship and residency. She returned to Harvard for her subspecialty fellowship.

Lamas is the author of You Can Stop Humming Now: A Doctor’s Stories of Life, Death and In Between.
