New version of Hubbl now live

Earlier this week, a new version of Hubbl was launched. The changes to Hubbl focused on improving the library of resource information available to users, such as eStar Tip Sheets and Quick Start Guides. A focus of the project was clearing out unnecessary “clutter” from this library, which was clogging the system and complicating the ability to find relevant information. As part of this process, the team archived a significant percentage of these resources, based on their accuracy and how often they were being accessed by Vanderbilt users. The information remaining on Hubbl was carefully reviewed to ensure it will be of most use to our employees.

Users who are looking for a document that they believe was archived and should still appear in Hubbl can send a request to the Hubbl team at HubblTrainingTeam@vumc365.onmicrosoft.com (available in the address book under “Hubbl Training Team”) with relevant details (e.g., name and purpose of document). The Training team will review the request and move the document back to the live version of Hubbl.

The refresh of Hubbl also means that these educational resources are no longer segmented into various folders, which also unnecessarily complicated searching for information. Now, there is a single folder with one search bar that enables users to more quickly find the resource they need.

The eStar Training team will now serve as the single gatekeeper for information that will be available on Hubbl. There will be distinct templates used for assets created by the Training team and information that has been generated by other teams throughout Vanderbilt. All requests for information to be published in Hubbl should be sent to the eStar Training team at HubblTrainingTeam@vumc365.onmicrosoft.com (available in the address book under “Hubbl Training Team”) for approval and posting.

Please note that as part of this upgrade, legacy Hubbl links will no longer be operational. To locate a resource, users should log into Hubbl and use the search functionality using a keyword.
