The “NBC Nightly News” and the Associated Press interviewed Stacie Dusetzina, PhD, associate professor of Health Policy, for stories about CMS working on a proposed rule that would require drug companies to disclose the list prices of prescription medications when advertising them directly to consumers on television.

Ellen Wright Clayton, MD, JD, Craig-Weaver Professor of Pediatrics, is quoted in a Science story headlined, “As gene testing surges, lawsuits aren’t far behind.”

“The Naked Scientists” podcast on the BBC, Popular Science, Science, Discover and Le Figaro Santé  (France) interviewed Matthew Bacchetta, MD, MBA, associate professor of Thoracic and Cardiac Surgery, for stories about his Nature Communications study that details a new technique to rehabilitate lungs that are too damaged to be considered for transplant.

Washington Post reporter William Wan interviewed William Schaffner, MD, professor of Preventive Medicine, for a story about what could have caused religious author Rachel Held Evans to die. Her illness started with flu symptoms and a UTI.
