New QuizTime activity, "Spotting Measles," now available

“Spotting Measles,” a new QuizTime learning activity aimed at refreshing knowledge about measles, is now available to all clinicians at this link

With 971 confirmed cases through the end of May, the U.S. is experiencing the largest outbreak of measles in more than 25 years. Measles has been confirmed in 26 states, including Tennessee, and many clinicians are fielding questions from concerned patients and families. This 12 question quiz, delivered one question a day by email or text message, will cover the diagnosis and management of patients with measles, the management of those exposed to measles, and guidelines for vaccination. It was created by Buddy Creech MD, MPH, and Mike Chambers, MD, from the VUMC Department of Pediatrics, and Ben Fowler, a Vanderbilt University School of Medicine MD/PhD student. The quiz will be available for enrollment through Dec. 8.

This activity is certified by the VUMC Continuing Education Office for a maximum of 3 AMA PRA® Category 1 credits. Participants must create a profile in the QuizTime system in order to receive CME credit and will be notified of credits awarded within two weeks of completing the quiz.  For any questions, contact Kim Garvey at kim.garvey@vumc.org.
