Center for Effective Health Communication to hold research forum Aug. 27
The Vanderbilt Center for Effective Health Communication is presenting a Health Communication Research Forum from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. on Aug. 27. The event will take place in Medical Center East, Room 8380B. Following the presentations there will be networking time from 1 – 1:30 p.m.
The keynote speaker is Kimberly A. Kaphingst, ScD, professor in the Department of Communication and the Director of Cancer Communication Research at the Huntsman Cancer Institute at the University of Utah. Her topic will be “Informing the Translation of Genomic Technologies with Health Communication Research.”
This forum is open to all researchers interested in health communication.
The goal of the forum is to convene health communication researchers from across Vanderbilt and discuss new communication research funded by the center. Research topics will include chronic kidney disease and frailty-focused health care communication.
