eStar "Thrive" training program launching at VUMC

Beginning this month, the eStar team is rolling out a supplemental training program, known as “Thrive”. Specifically tailored for outpatient clinicians, Thrive helps them:

·         Expand their eStar knowledge

·         Gain additional confidence in system use

·         Further personalize eStar to their specific preferences and needs

Thrive training is based on best practices from other Epic implementation sites. It is only available following Go Live, as the program builds on the skills and knowledge clinicians have developed after using Epic in real-life patient care situations.

Each of the training sessions offered in June will be delivered by experts from Epic. June sessions focus on four specific areas, which can be taken in any order:

·         Notes

·         Ordering and diagnoses

·         Clinical review

·         Use of InBaskets

Feedback from this initial round of sessions will be used to help refine more Vanderbilt-specific content, which will be offered beginning in July.
