National Customer Service Week observed with week of activities

National Customer Service Week is October 5-9. The VUMC Patient Service Specialist Advisory Board is sponsoring celebrations for the Patient Service Specialist staff at VUMC.

There are several events planned to celebrate our PSS staff during this scheduled week. The full calendar of events is:

  • Monday, Oct. 5: Wear Pink Day. PSS staff can opt out of standard attire to wear pink to support Breast Cancer Awareness Month
  • Tuesday, Oct. 6: Career Development Day. Human Resources is offering resume reviews and mock interviews for PSS staff from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. via Zoom. Staff are required to sign up for a session at: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/PA10062020. Additionally, the PSS Professional Home will be leading a session from 4:15-5 p.m. to discuss professional development opportunities for staff.   • Wednesday, Oct. 7: Dress like a Superhero day. PSS staff can opt out of standard attire to dress like their favorite superhero.
  • Thursday, Oct. 8: Clinics are encouraged to lead celebrations locally for staff.
  • Friday, Oct. 9: Wear VUMC Attire. PSS staff can opt out of standard attire to wear Vanderbilt attire to celebrate pride in VUMC.
