VUMC experts interviewed by New York Times, Voice of America, CNN, more

William Schaffner, MD, professor of Preventive Medicine has been interviewed  for numerous stories about coronavirus, flu vaccines and other related topics. Among the news outlets he has spoken with: The New York Times, Kaiser Health News, DailyMail.com, USA Today, Science News, Voice of America, and CNN. The Kaiser Health News story was picked up by other outlets, including CNN and the “PBS NewsHour.”

 The New York Times reporter Emma Goldberg interviewed Wesley Self, MD, for a story about the CDC and VUMC’s report that found that those who test positive for COVID-19 are twice as likely to have visited a restaurant or bar in the two weeks before.

 Reuters Health reporter Marilynn Larkin interviewed Wanqing Wen, MD, research associate professor of Medicine (Epidemiology), for a story about his Cancer article on racial disparities in mortality after radical prostatectomy.
