Pediatric residents hold "Manuary" event tomorrow
Vanderbilt Pediatric Residency is set to host its sixth annual "Manuary" event on Jan. 25. Each year, the pediatric residency program hosts a beard auction to raise money for Oasis Center, a community organization for at-risk youth.
Last year the Manuary event raised more than $10,000 by auctioning off beards grown by physicians, staff and residents at Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt. The purchaser of a beard can choose any shape for the beard to be shaved into, and we host a gathering after the fundraiser to show off the fun new facial styles.
