ABC’s “Good Morning America” broadcast a story on breast cancer in males that highlighted Vanderbilt research published in JAMA showing lower survival rates for men with the disease.

NBC News and CBS Newspath interviewed Daniel Munoz, MD, medical director of the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit, for stories about presidential candidate Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt, being hospitalized in Las Vegas and undergoing a medical procedure after a blockage was found in one of his arteries. The CBS Newspath interview was conducted at the VUStar studio and is available to all CBS national news programs and local affiliate stations.

William Schaffner, MD, professor of Preventive Medicine, was interviewed by several outlets about the upcoming flu season and the flu vaccine, including NPR, Self magazine, Everyday Health and WebMD. Schaffner was also interviewed by U.S. News & World Report contributor Vanessa Caceres for a story about ways to prevent meningitis.
